These terms explain what each Dipple plan includes, what "fair use" means in numbers, and how billing, cancellation, refunds and account deletion work. They're part of Dipple's Terms of Service ("the Terms"). If they disagree, these terms win for billing and usage.
1. Plans
| Free | Pro | Max | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price (USD) | $0 | $20 a month, or $192 a year | $100 a month, or $960 a year |
| Talk messages | 30 a month, on Claude Sonnet 5.5 | 1,000 a month, on Claude Sonnet 5.5; a Deep answer on Claude Opus 5.5 counts as 2 | 4,000 a month, on Claude Opus 5.5 |
| Agent credits | 2 welcome credits for your first 14 days, on Claude Sonnet 5.5 | 100 a month, on Claude Opus 5.5 | 600 a month, on Claude Opus 5.5 |
| Meeting summaries | 2 a month | Talk messages (§2) | Talk messages (§2) |
| Learning a task Dipple notices you repeating | One, once per account | Uses agent credits | Uses agent credits |
| Workflows that run entirely on your Mac | No charge | No charge | No charge |
Prices don't include tax. Where tax applies, Stripe works it out from your address at checkout and shows it before you pay.
Allowances are for one person's use and reset each month, on yearly plans too. Unused allowances don't carry over and have no cash value. There are no overage charges: when an allowance runs out, Dipple tells you and waits until the next month or until you upgrade.
Credits Dipple gives you on top of a plan (two welcome credits when you create your account, or credits for bringing someone to Dipple through a share link) are used after your plan's allowance and have no cash value. Welcome credits expire after 14 days; others after 90 days.
2. What uses what
- A talk message is one question you ask and its answer: from the command bar, by voice, a text action, a Mark Mode question or Show me on screen. Checks Dipple makes inside the same answer don't count again.
- An agent credit is one task Dipple carries out for you, within a limit:
- a "Do it for me" task: up to 30 steps, 10 minutes or its limit on AI use;
- turning a recording into a workflow;
- repairing a step of a workflow that failed;
- finishing the rest of a workflow;
- a Teach Me lesson.
A task that reaches its limit ends; going on is a new task.
- A meeting summary on Free counts against its 2 a month. On Pro and Max it's a talk message (two for a meeting longer than 90 minutes).
- A request is counted as either talk or a task, never both. A request that fails before Dipple's AI starts answering isn't counted. One that you stop after the answer has started is counted, because the work was done.
3. Fair use
Every plan's monthly allowances are fixed numbers (§1). "Fair use" means only these published limits, not a hidden cap:
- Rate: up to 60 talk messages an hour, and 2 answers at once, per account.
- Size: each talk message has a limit on how much it can read and write. In a long conversation, Dipple leaves out its oldest parts so your latest question fits. Answers have a maximum length; one that reaches it ends with "The answer stopped early." A question too big to fit even then is refused, with a note to shorten it or start a new conversation. Meeting summaries aren't limited this way.
- Safety limit: to protect the service, each account has a daily limit on AI use, far above normal use. If you reach it, Dipple tells you and it resets at midnight UTC.
Dipple always tells you when you reach a limit, and never stops in the middle of something without saying why.
4. Not allowed
You may not:
- share one account between several people, or resell or rent access to Dipple;
- make several accounts to get more free allowance or credits;
- use Dipple's server other than through the Dipple app, or try to get around its limits or checks;
- use Dipple to break the law, to harm or deceive others, or in ways that the Terms or Anthropic's Usage Policy forbid;
- share links to content you don't have the right to share.
If we believe an account breaks these terms, we may warn it, limit it, suspend it or close it. Closing an account cancels its subscription, so it isn't charged again. Payments for the current period aren't refunded when an account is closed for breaking these terms, except where the law requires it.
5. Billing
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Dipple never sees or stores your card number.
- Renewal: a paid plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Before a yearly plan renews, Stripe emails you a reminder at least 30 days ahead with the price and how to cancel.
- Changing plan (Settings → Plan & Usage):
- Moving up (Pro to Max): applies at once. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period, shown before you confirm, and keep what you've used this period.
- Moving down, or switching between monthly and yearly: applies at your next renewal.
- Cancelling: from Plan & Usage or Manage Billing. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then you're on Free. Cancelling doesn't refund the current period.
- Failed payments: if a renewal can't be charged, you keep your plan for 7 days while Stripe tries again, and Dipple shows how to update your card. After that you're on Free until it's paid.
- Refunds: if you're a new subscriber, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of your first payment by writing to [email protected]. Your plan ends when the refund is made. Otherwise payments aren't refunded, except where the law requires it. If you live in the EU or UK, you have 14 days instead of 7. None of this limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws, such as a refund when the service has a major failure.
- Chargebacks: while a payment is disputed with your bank, the account is on Free. Please contact us first; most problems are quicker to fix that way.
- Prices may change. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and it applies from your next renewal after that. You can cancel before it does.
6. Going back to Free
Your workflows, history and settings stay on your Mac. Workflows that run entirely on your Mac keep working. Anything that needs Dipple's AI follows Free's allowances.
7. Deleting your account
Settings → Plan & Usage → Delete Account. This:
- cancels any subscription immediately, so you won't be charged again (it doesn't refund payments already made; see §5 for refunds);
- signs out every Mac;
- deletes your account, plan, usage records, credits and share links from Dipple's server.
Stripe keeps records of payments and invoices that the law requires. Dipple keeps only a record that an account was deleted and when, not who it belonged to, and, for an account banned for abuse, Google's ID for it so it can't sign up again. Workflows, history and settings on your Mac stay until you remove them. Signing in again later starts a new, empty account. The Privacy Policy §9 explains your other rights over your information.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that reduce what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead by email and in the app, and you can cancel before they apply.
